The company is seeking an experienced Project Finance Associate to support the structuring, execution, and management of financing
transactions across its renewable energy portfolio. The successful candidate will play a leading role in securing debt financing for wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects, managing relationships with lenders and investors, coordinating due diligence processes, and supporting project acquisitions, divestments, and refinancing transactions.
The role requires strong financial modelling skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across several European jurisdictions.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of debt financing transactions for renewable energy projects, from mandate to financial close
• Develop and maintain financial models, perform debt sizing, valuation analyses, and assess project bankability. Experience with BESS highly valuable.
• Manage relationships with lenders, investors, and financial advisors, coordinating financing processes and negotiations.
• Prepare financing materials, investment memoranda, management presentations, and decision-making analyses.
• Coordinate legal, technical, tax, insurance, and environmental due diligence workstreams.
• Support acquisitions, divestments, refinancing transactions, and strategic corporate finance initiatives.
• Review and negotiate financing documentation, including facility agreements, security packages, and hedging arrangements.
• Monitor financing covenants, reporting obligations, and portfolio performance post-closing.
• Collaborate with Development, Engineering, Implementation, Legal, Asset Management, ESG, and M&A teams to support project execution and investment decisions.
• Monitor market, regulatory, and financing developments to identify opportunities and optimize capital structures.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• MBA, CFA, or other relevant professional qualifications are an advantage.
• 3-6 years of experience in Project Finance, Renewable Energy, Infrastructure Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Corporate Finance.
• Proven experience supporting or executing financing and M&A transactions.
• Exposure to renewable energy projects and European energy markets is preferred.
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills.
