Position Overview
Lead the post-sale execution of ou client's utility-scale tracker projects across the United States, ensuring a seamless transition from signed contract through project delivery, field services, technical support and after-sales. The initial mandate is North America, with potential to expand globally as the organization evolves.
Position Parameters
1. Location: Remote, anywhere in the United States; proximity to major solar markets or a well-connected airport preferred.
2. Travel: Significant domestic travel; the candidate must be comfortable operating as a road warrior.
3. Reporting: Expected initially to report to the COO; may change with the organizational restructuring.
4. Team: Four US Operations Program Managers, with likely oversight of Quality, Technical Product Support and Field Services.
5. Compensation: USD 150,000-200,000 base salary, plus bonus/equity and benefits depending on profile.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own the full post-sale lifecycle of utility-scale tracker projects in North America.
2. Create a disciplined handoff from Sales and Sales Engineering into Operations.
3. Review contracts, scope, technical requirements and customer commitments before execution.
4. Lead program management, QA/QC, technical support and field-service activities.
5. Coordinate Operations with Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal and customers.
6. Manage project risk, change orders, warranties, escalations and corrective actions.
7. Establish operational KPIs, governance and consistent execution standards.
8. Act as a senior interface with developers, IPPs, EPCs and strategic customers.
9. Build a scalable team and contribute to our client's future global operating model.
Candidate Profile
· 15+ years in utility-scale solar, renewable-energy equipment, EPC or related infrastructure; 7+ years in senior operational leadership.
· Proven responsibility for a portfolio of complex projects and leadership of program/project managers.
· Strong understanding of contracts, tracker or equipment delivery, installation, QA/QC, commissioning and after-sales.
· Technical credibility with Engineering and Field teams, combined with executive customer-management skills.
· Engineering degree strongly preferred; MBA beneficial but not essential.
