Project Manager for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) projects to play a key role in building a new department and establishing its technical, procedural, and quality foundations.
The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in BESS and UPS systems with strong projectmanagement and organizational development skills.
They will lead the preparation of technical offers, define engineering and construction standards, and develop the quoting process, site survey checklists, and construction quality control frameworks. Responsibilities include guiding system design and integration, ensuring compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE, UL, NFPA), and coordinating multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, and site execution.
This role demands a hands-on technical leader capable of designing workflows, documentation systems, and QA/QC procedures from the ground up—while mentoring new team members and fostering a culture of technical excellence, safety, and operational discipline. A successful candidate demonstrates proficiency in technical evaluation, cost estimation, risk management, and strategic process development, along with strong communication and leadership skills to bridge commercial and engineering priorities Manage and supervise the engineering, supply, and construction processes under the standards of company to ensure the optimization of costs, time and quality of the projects.
Key Responsibilities
➢ Lead and manage BESS and UPS projects from design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
➢ Develop and implement technical standards, engineering guidelines, and quality control processes for project execution.
➢ Prepare and review technical offers, system designs, and cost estimates in coordination with the commercial and sales teams.
➢ Create and maintain site survey checklists, construction quality control frameworks, and installation best practices.
➢ Define and manage quotation and project evaluation workflows, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and technical soundness.
➢ Oversee engineering documentation, compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, UL), and local grid regulations.
➢ Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, procurement, and site teams to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
➢ Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team (including commercial team), fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
➢ Support business growth through technical leadership, innovation, and process standardization across new and ongoing projects.
➢ Contribute to strategic planning, helping define departmental objectives, resource needs, and technology adoption roadmap.
➢ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Energy, or Power Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
➢ 2+ years of experience managing projects in BESS, UPS, or power systems environments.
➢ Strong understanding of battery technologies, power conversion systems, EMS, and protection schemes.
➢ Proven track record in technical offer preparation, cost estimation, and system sizing.
➢ Experience developing or implementing QA/QC procedures, checklists, and commissioning standards.
➢ Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
➢ Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with clients.
➢ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
➢ Knowledge in Electrical measurements and safety in low and medium voltage.
➢ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
➢ Advanced English (for daily use in its functions).
➢ Orderly and disciplined to manage himself remotely.
➢ Availability to travel upon demand and drive by car within Mexico to make site surveys, quality assurance,
safety, commissioning and supervisions.
Compensation, benefits:
➢ Compensation according to profile
➢ Aguinaldo: 15 days of salary per year worked;
➢ Holiday bonus: 25%;
➢ Social Security : The company will pay the contributions corresponding to the employee's social security
(included in the Basic Salary mentioned above);

➢ Annual discretionary bonus: Variable scheme (qualitative performance evaluation);

➢ Holidays: right to a 12 day holiday period in the first year, increasing 2 days consecutively each year until
reaching 30 days;
