Position: Lead Engineer
Company: The Company is a pan-African EPC contractor and energy developer specializing in energy infrastructure in sub-Saharan Africa. Description: Reporting to the Engineering and Tendering Director, the Lead Engineer will serve as a technical point of reference and will be responsible for the Project's Bidding and Engineering processes fo EPC in the Renewables discipline (Solar PV, BESS and Minigrids).
Duties:
In Bidding phase:
Development and Generation of the technical solution with best LCOE for Solar PV, Solar PV + BESS, Mini/Metro-Grids projects. (Done inhouse)
BoQ/BoM of the full generation site.
Cost and Supplier Analysis.
Contractual and risk mitigation analysis.
Generation and Coordination of Documentation associated with Bid processes.
Generation of Budgets and Economic Models for EPC and IPP processes.
Being technical reference of the Bid in front of the client and other stakeholders.
In Project Phase:
Lead and be responsible for the Evaluation and Technical Recommendation of Main Equipment.
Lead, Coordinate and be responsible for the development of Detailed Engineering and Construction of the Project within the contractual and budgetary framework. (Outsourced)
To be the technical reference for the project in front of the client and other stakeholders.
Indispensable Minimum Requirements:
Languages: English fluent. French is a plus.
Experience, at least 5 years, in Design/Engineering of Utility Scale Ground Mounted Solar PV projects from 5MWp to 100MWp (with FT and SAT). Experience in Solar Yield calculation, LV and MV cabling, grounding, LV and MV protection system, lightning protection, communications and SCADA, framed in Solar PV projects). Experience in BESS projects is a plus. Experience in Minigrids is a plus. Experience in International Projects is a plus.
Expert handling of PVsyst.
Contract Conditions:
Salary between 45k€ and 55k€ gross per year depending on the profile.
Indefinite contract. 6 months trial period.
2 days out of the week of work from home.
