The client wants a strong candidate to join the Structured Finance and M&A team, which is responsible for sourcing, arranging, and executing project financing and M&A activities.
This position reports directly to the client´s Head of Structured Finance and will work in close coordination with the rest of internal functions.
Responsabilities:
· Carry-out financial modelling activities addressing all commercial, technical, and financial parameters of the projects. These include, among others: project valuation for acquisition of projects in different stages of development, preparation of tenders, debt financing structuring, monitoring of under construction and operational assets, financial close and asset sale processes, etc.
· Perform profitability calculations, sensitivity analyses and stress tests.
· Take a role in the development of the investment strategy alongside senior members of the client team. Provide support in all activities associated with debt and equity investment processes: sourcing and screening of new opportunities, qualitative and quantitative due diligence, documentation review and negotiation, etc.
· Prepare presentations and other materials for internal and external stakeholders as required (e.g., project teasers and updates, investment committee papers, investment memoranda, business cases market analysis, etc.).
· Actively work with internal functions (tax and accounting, asset management, technical, legal) to ensure successful execution of investments.
The successful candidate must include, among others, the following qualifications and experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree required, ideally in Finance or other quantitative or technical field. Valuable master's in finance or MBA in a prestigious business school and/or CFA.
· Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience in business development, corporate finance, financial advisory or debt structuring practices.
· Familiarity with structured finance, non-recourse financing structures in particular, and M&A execution processes.
· Advanced EXCEL skills. Demonstrable financial modeling experience, including building models from scratch (a financial modelling test will be performed during the selection process) and programming in Visual Basic. Knowledge of best practices in financial modelling and continuous readiness for self-learning and further improvement in this area.
· Attention to detail and very strong analytical skills.
· Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
· English and Spanish language proficiency is a must. Other European languages would be an asset.
